Base - Your Citadel
Hello, Chosen One! Like in other strategy games, the Base is an indispensable part of Rune Seeker. It is where all the resources and items needed for your journey are produced and exploited. Additionally, it serves as a hub for experiencing many interesting features of the game. Now, let's learn more about your Base in the world of Rune Seeker!
1. Base overview

The base serves as the main interface of the game and is the first place players encounter upon entering Rune Seeker. From the base interface, players can engage in various activities within the game.
The Base interface consists of a grid map of hexagons, reminiscent of a battlefield.
Players have the freedom to place buildings on any hexagon within the Base, each serving a specific function in the game. For instance, players can visit the Coal Mine to harvest Coal resources.
At the center of the Base lies the Civic Centre, which serves as your command post. This building is a default building and cannot be relocated.
2. Civic Centre
The Civic Centre is the largest building in the base and the only structure that cannot be relocated or replaced. So, what capabilities does the Civic Centre possess?
It facilitates the exploitation of four basic types of resources (Wood, Water, Coal, Stone), each with a specific output.
It increases the maximum number of buildings players can place in the Base.
It enhances the productivity of all other buildings by arranging their locations and assigning a Hero to manage them (for more details, refer to part 3 - Buildings).
Additionally, the Civic Center has its own level, which can be upgraded by gaining experience from quests. You can monitor the upgrade progress directly from the Civic Centre interface.

Rewards players receive when upgrading the Civic Centre:
Increased resource output exploited by the Civic Centre.
Increased the size and shape of the Civic Centre.
Increased the maximum number of buildings players can place at the base.
3. Building
Besides the Civic Centre, buildings are the main structures present at the Base. These structures can be moved, replaced, or repositioned, depending on the player's needs.
Buildings are divided into the following types:
Mining building: This is where you mine all the basic resources and currencies needed for your journey in Rune Seeker.
Production building: This is where you use existing resources to produce items needed for upgrades, evolution, gacha, etc.
Feature building: This is where you participate in interacting with features, events, and activities.
Initially, players can only have a maximum of 8 buildings at their base. This maximum number of buildings can be increased when the Civic Centre is upgraded.
List of buildings with descriptions:
Building | Element | Category | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Civic Centre | Feature | Base management. | |
Luckyloot Chamber | Feature | Casino. | |
Gold Mine | Ignis | Mining | Mine Gold. |
Coal Mine | Ignis | Mining | Mine Coal. |
Wealth Flow | Aqua | Mining | Mine Water. |
Crystal Quarry | Aqua | Mining | Mine Crystal. |
Stone Mine | Terra | Mining | Mine Stone. |
Lumber Mill | Aer | Mining | Mine Wood. |
Overgeared Blacksmith | Ignis | Production | Produce random equipment Blueprints. |
Fallen Sacramento | Ignis | Production | Produce Rune Talisman and obtain Runes through gacha. |
Sacrificial Altar | Aqua | Production | Produce Sacred Eggs and obtain Heroes through gacha. |
Iron Manufacturer | Terra | Production | Produce Smithing Iron. |
Mining and production buildings can increase productivity (resource extraction output per hour for mining buildings and item production time for production buildings) through the following methods:
Increasing the level of the building.
Increasing the number of stars of the building.
a) Upgrading level of buildings
There are two ways to upgrade buildings:
Arrange the location of that building at the base. Specifically, the building:
Increases by 2 levels for each side of the building adjacent to the Civic Centre.
Increases by 1 level if the building is located adjacent to another equivalent building (both buildings receive upgrades). For example, two level 1 Stone Mines next to each other will become two level 2 Stone Mines.
Increases by 1 level if the building is located one hex away from the Civic Centre.
Appoint a Hero to manage the building. Specifically, the building:
Increases by 2 levels for each appointed Hero of the same Element as the building.
Increases by 1 level for each appointed Hero with a different Element from the building.

So, the building's level is not permanent and can be changed, depending on the player's decisions and calculations. Additionally, the appointment of a Hero only applies to mining buildings.
b) Upgrading star levels of buildings
Players can use resources to produce Frames and use these Frames to gacha and randomly receive new buildings.
When a player has two equivalent buildings with the same number of stars, they can merge them into a building with +1 star. For example, two 3-star Gold Mine buildings can be merged into one 4-star Gold Mine building.
Frame production and building star level upgrading activities are carried out at the Artwork Construction.

Conclusion
Dear Chosen One, The Base serves as a crucial resource hub, providing the necessary materials for enhancing the combat prowess of your army in Rune Seeker. Therefore, it's essential to manage and arrange buildings carefully to align with your development strategy.
