“Necromancy is a taboo in the magic world, whose users – Necromancers end up being despised, ostracized, and hunted by law enforcement. Each soul after leaving the body will return to the World Tree of Di'Seren and wait for their reincarnation, otherwise it will forever wander aimlessly at the boundary between life and death. Over time, the soul will become an evil spirit that brings harm to living things, and cannot be reborn.
However, creatures of the dark certainly wouldn't mind these laws. Prisoners of war helped them gather scattered information about magic, and from there to some miscast accidents that spell unpredictable disasters. And the Orcs, as such, carve these forbidden rituals on their own bodies, making themselves a bridge to bring back souls from the dead. During the full moon nights between the spring and autumn, when magical energy in nature is most evident, the people of the mountains near Glamrung and the Vanguard could still see ghostly armies riding on death horses soaring through the night sky. Folklore holds that they symbolize the coming of the longest winter in decades, or harbinger of a war to come. This army of ghosts will bring the souls of fallen soldiers back to The Kingdom of Death, an eternal damnation.
These are actually the spirit army summoned by Orc Necromancers from battlefields littered with corpses. Evil spirits that carry hatred after death can be extremely dangerous, they are both warriors of darkness and can bewitch their victims even in sunlight. Targeted by the Brotherhood of Mage and the Maiden of Moonlight, the Orc Necromancer are adept at hiding, waiting for a chance to avenge the ancient grudge of the accursed.
