The Elements in Rune Seeker

Hello, The Chosen One! The Four Elements, including Aqua (Water), Ignis (Fire), Aer (Air) and Terra (Earth), are fundamental aspects of the world of Rune Seeker. Most objects in the game, including Terrain, Heroes, and Buildings, carry one of these four Elements.

These Elements oppose each other according to the principle: overcomes , overcomes , overcomes , and overcomes . This contrast brings advantages or disadvantages to all objects in the game, depending on the Element they belong to and our game design (as the development team).

In this article, I will detail how Elements function and impact important objects in Rune Seeker.

1. Hero

Heroes are the primary combat units that players can deploy in battle. Each Hero belongs to one of the four Elements mentioned above. Due to the contrast between these Elements, Heroes may have advantages or disadvantages when facing opponents of different Elements.

For instance, a Hero of the Ignis element will deal 20% increased damage when attacking a Hero of the Aer element. Conversely, an Aer Hero will deal 20% less damage when attacking an Ignis Hero. For further details, see the table.

Ignis Hero
Aer Hero
Terra Hero

Ignis Hero
Attacks lose 20% damage

Aqua Hero

In addition, each hero also has an Elemental Affinity index, calculated from 1 to 5 stars. The higher the number of stars, the greater the bonus the hero will receive from Terrain of the same Element in battle. For more information, please read our article on Heroes.

2. Terrain

Terrain tiles on the field are categorized into two types: Plains (non-elemental Terrain) and Elemental Terrain.

Heroes will gain certain stat bonuses when standing adjacent to Terrain tiles of the same Element. And vice versa, the stats are significantly reduced if the Hero stands next to Terrain of the Element that opposes theirs.

For example: Each tile will increase the ATK of the adjacent Hero by 14%. For detailed information on the impact of Terrain on 1-star Elemental Affinity Heroes according to Elemental rules, see the table.

3. Rune

Most Creation Runes possess abilities that revolve around transforming Terrain Elements in battle to give your side an advantage. And some of them can even summon powerful entities from the Terrain such as Spirits or Troops. These entities possess different formidable abilities, depending on the Element of the Terrain they are summoned from.

4. Building

The Building is responsible for producing and exploiting the resources and items necessary for your journey in Rune Seeker. Each Building has its own unique function and can be upgraded to increase its productivity.

Basically, there are two ways to upgrade buildings:

- Arrange the location of the Building at the Base.

- Authorize the management of the Building to a Hero with the same Element or not.

For more details about Buildings, please read this article.

Dear The Chosen One! We hope the information provided above has given you a clear and detailed understanding of how Elements function and influence key aspects within the world of Rune Seeker. May it aid you in your journey and lead you to countless moments of joy and triumph!
